    73 Grabber,
I'm putting back together my 73 Grabber. I took photos of everything before I took it apart so I'm pretty certain I connected everything inside the door properly. When I connect the rod between the door lock and the attachment point on the latch I find that the lock cannot turn far enough to lock and unlock the door. Disconnect the rod and the lock moves properly left and right. So what am I doing wrong?

Can you unhook the rod from the lock...and them move the rod up and down to lock or unlock the door?

You don't possibly have the lever on lock flipped over do you? Locks and lever is same on R & L just is just flipped opposite way...

    73 Grabber,
The lever on the lock is horizontal and pointing toward the front of the door. Do I need to switch the door locks? Both doors act the same way. Everything functions as it should whether the lock linkage is disconnected or connected except when I put the key in the lock it only turns one way. It should have a full range of movement when turned in either direction.

Are you checking it with door open? I had a similar issue and found that the door had to be closed for it to work properly.
