Have a quick question. Ok As you know i just bought a 77 Maverick for $500 and drive it to school and work everyday no prob. Now about the question, to inhanse the timing is a problem I cant move it anymore clock wise because of a radiator hose. Now am I able to move the distributor cap to clicks to the right and ajust it that way? Now heres a pic to show what is in the way and what it looks like.

If you need additional adjustment clockwise you'll have to pull the distributor, rotate the entire thing (dist and cap) counter-clockwise and re-install it. You sure it's far enough off you need to turn it more? It may not have been put in correctly by the prior owner ...

Or you can just move all of the plug wires one position clockwise.
