Stumbled across a 74 Comet 4 door today. Was on a road Ive never been on, so I was keepin my eyes open. Rounded a curve and crested a hill when I caught a glimpse of the back roof line. I slammed on the brakes and backed up to what was a little body shop on the edge of a small town. Turns out the body shop owner bought it from the original owners daughter. He had serviced the car its entire life. An older couple bought the car new in 74 and gave it to their daughter not long ago. It has 26, 000 miles on its 250/c4 but the medium yellow gold body is completely rusted out. Im getting it cheap enough to take the desireable parts off and scrap it. The best item is a brand new Comet gas cap that I will be posting for sale along with a few other goodies.

Once this venture is over Im heading to Kentucky to pick up a Sprint with its complete 302 still under the hood. :thumbs2:

Way to go, Don!! I always enjoy driving down new roads for the same reasons, but never with the same results. Of course, we will expect lots of pictures...:camera:

If a couple more weeks pass, the Comet will be dust! I will post pics and a VIN when I get it.

Phase one complete, Comet is ready for the crusher. Sprint is paid for and will pick it up on the 12th!

Is it the Sprint in Owensboro? Looked like good car for the money.
