Looking for a wire under the dash that's only hot when the key is either in the run, or ACC position...any suggestions? Don't have access to my wiring diagrams currently...

    Thanks for any assistance...

If you can find the original radio wire....would that work?

I think that would work Craig...but I don't have the radio hooked up, so not sure which wire it is. Any direction you can provided as to what color it is...?

I THINK, it's a blue with red tracer...has a rubber plug-in type thing just like the front valence/grill lights use to plug in to the harness..maybe look for that.

Sorry I don't know the colors off hand. Maybe the wiring diagrams (link posted above) would help.

You can also located a fuse in the fuse panel (using a test light) that will do what you want to do...then tie into that circuit directly at the fuse panel.

I used the stud in the fuse block that the dealer used for added accessories. I power a separate fuse block with it, now I have 8 more key on fuses to use as needed...

Thanks guys! I didn't have the stud, but was able to tap into the accessory circuit at the fuse block. Everything seems to be working fine...will wait until neighbors are up to check it ;)

On my 74 it's a 12 or 14 gauge black wire coming out underneath the fuse block. The thick yellow wire is for constant power. Just re did my entire fuse panel. Just in case you actually wanna tap it in..

The radio wire on mine is yellow with a black tracer. Used it for my choke.
