Location Template for Small Rear Bumper

Does anyone have a good location template for drilling the small rear bumper mount holes? I'm currently converting a large bumper '74 to small bumpers.

 

I can probably make you one off the 71 shell.

I want to get all of the holes drilled before it goes to the body shop.

Don't forget you need the 70/72 braces that weld to the floor and tail panel. Just bolting it through the tail panel wont be strong enough. I think the early mustang braces can be made to fit...

Yes, I am aware of that. Not sure which year Mustang braces fit the best. One member said 67.

 

I use a ruler to find the center line and went from there. I used the '69-70 Mustang mounts on the trunk floor...they are a little longer than the 67-68 mount.

 

I made you a template Ed. It's ready to mail tomorrow. The template uses the heavy body line and the hole for the license plate light wire for alighnment.

 

Could you pass us on the measurements and some fotos that we can fabricate our own template? I would need that as well for my conversion! Thanks
