For the guys that have EFI, where are you drilling the hole for the wiring to pass thru? I am using the ron francis wiring kit. I can prob figure it out on my own, but hearing how others have done it makes it a little easier. I was thinking in the middle just above the tunnel, because I will be putting the computer in the granada center console
Probably not much help, but I ran my wires through the holes in the fire wall where the heater hose used to go in. But when I put my trick flow manifold on I'm going to use a connector that one half stays in the fire wall, and the other side unclips/unscrews for an engine harness. It'll make engine removal a lot easier, and you wont have to remove the upper manifold.
I did mine in the just to the right of the hole for the heater motor. Does Ron Francis use the huge round grommet or the oblong one? Mine was from Dunn-Rite and they used the huge round one. Had I known, I would have gotten the oblong one. The round one was still not big enough to get the big plug through. I had to grind down the head of the bolt that locks the plug to the harness. I think the thing would have gone through the oblong grommet much easier and would have had a smaller hole in the firewall. Not sure about your suggested location. How does it lay out to the motor? I was able to route mine under the firewall lip. It is not too noticable. Micah
Yeah, I would really lay it all out. You also need to think about where you are mounting the sensors.
Mine is running in from the wheel well, just below the heater box if I remember correctly. Computer is behind the dash...factory Ford wiring harness
I used the hole where the OEM fuse box/wiring passed through. I drilled it out round and used a large grommet I had from another harness. I used a fuse box in the engine compartment from a 90's Bronco for the EEC components and an add on fuse panel for the interior circuits
