We are going to be adding Headers to my son's 74 Comet project and wanting to go with a B&M floor shifter. Car has a bench seat!

Any recommendations and/or pictures would be most helpful.

Is this a V8 or 6cyl car with auto?

I researched and researched for my 71 Mav and bought the B & M 80681 Z Gate shifter to go behind my 302. Since then I have decided to put in a T5 five speed. I would sell the New shifter that has not even been out of the box yet.

i personally like the pro ratchet shifter. its really compact and has a nice compact brushed aluminum base cover vs a big black plastic one. if you dont like the aluminum then you can easly paint it how ever you like. its also a really solid. some of the other aftermarket shifters seem to be a bit sloppy

I used to run a B&M Megashifter with my bench seat. Now I have bucket seats and just recently replaced the B&M with a stock floor shifter which I actually like better.

I've had the B&M Megashifter 80690 in my bench seat Comet for years. Works and looks great. You can take a look at it on the summit website using the following link.

I forgot to include a picture of my Comet's bench seat with the shifter. I also race using this shifter.

Hotrock - Thanks for the picture! He opted to go with the B&M Starshifter, mainly due to cost. Picked it up off of Amazon of all places for $150

Cool, it looks like a compact version of the Megashifter.
