Shifter arrived today and I was reading through the instructions. The subject of the neutral safety switch and back-up lights caught my attention. I am assuming the wires are buried on the steering column somewhere. Anyone confirm and/or have a picture(s) perhaps ?

I performed this operation so many years ago I can barely remember. I soldered a hot wire to the neutral safety switch (NSS) on the column thereby neutralizing that switch. The wire then leads to the shifter's NSS and then a wire that leads from the NSS to the starter solenoid under the hood. Someone else may have a better solution.
