Rear end gears

    I wanna put different gears in the rear end of my mav. they are the stock ones at the moment, and i was thinking maybe a 3.73 ratio? any suggestions?

    They don't make a 3.73 for an 8"...closest thing will be 3.80 or 3.55
    If you have a 8.8" the you can get a 3.73:1

    need to know what engine, transmission, tire height, and intended uses. with out that info i would generally recommend going to 3.25s assuming stock stuff and general street and highway usage.

    my car is mostly stock and I went to a 3.55 posi and gas mileage changed dramatically but then again it doesnt help that I drive it like it was on a rally course every day either

    my car SLOWS DOWN GOING DOWN HILL unless Im on the gas

    Its a 250 I6 C-4 not completly stock (Electronic ignition, 2bbl, headers, and more to come..). its not a daily, but its not gonna be running high numbers. 215-60 R14 tires. I'm Just making a mild street rod at the moment

    i would recommend 3.25s for your combo
