Just a reminder that there is an MCCI Mini Meet at "Mikes Place" in Kent, Ohio this coming Saturday. A great opportunity to interact with your fellow Maverick/Comet enthusiasts and enjoy some good food and fellowship. Might be a good opportunity to check out Summit's "Demo Rack" nearby and bag some bargains!!! Log on to the MCCI website for details.
FULL details, including a map on how to get there, and a link to the restaurant's website, can be found on the MCCI website and Facebook pages.
Thanks to all that came out to Mike's Place for our mid-winter Mini Meet. It was nice to meet new faces and get reacquainted with people we have not seen in a while. It became apparent that the severe winter in the north has really put a lot of pressure on many of us to be prepared for the Maverick/Comet action taking place this summer as the ridiculously low temps have slowed progress on many projects. The post meeting visit to Summit Racing was a good experience for those who have never had the opportunity to visit the giant showroom in Akron. A few of us left Summit with somewhat lighter wallets as well.
I had a great time, thanks for hosting, Ed. The trip to Summitt was way cool, what big place. I am one of those with a lighter wallet. Gonna be a good summer if it ever gets here.
Had to use my Silverado 4x4 to get out of our 600' driveway today. I'm getting soooo flippin' tired of this winter!!!! May be going back to Summit this weekend for the S&D sale if I can beat the Ebay re-sellers and their "helpers" to the racks. I may see if Jordan can throw a few blocks for me.
We got a few inches early but it turned to rain and took care of it. Very tired of winter! I put some of my stuff on today. Need to make up my wires, didnt know I bought that kind. Ordered a plug wire crimper from Summit, lol. Good luck next weekend.
Let us know what you are looking for. If we can bag a bargain at the S&D rack that can help a fellow MCCI member, it makes us all better.
I bought Summit wires for my 306 and they were pre-crimped to length. Fear not, I bought "raw" wires for my old BBF drag boat and cut them to length and crimped them myself. You actually end up with an exact fit that way.
