Mustang Carpet?

Anyone know if the carpet from a 69 stang would fit in a Maverick? I came across a guy that has carpet for $70, and if it'll fit half way decent, I'll use it, if it's completely different, well, back to the drawing board

 

I thought you could get precut brand new for about 70 or so?

 

really, I thought they were something like 120 plus shipping, If I could get the right thing, then yeah, I'll go that route

 

I seriously doubt it will fit very good. Most mustang transmission tunnels are bigger than ours

 

I think I paid about $90+shipping for mine.

If your handy have you thought about making your own custom fit carpet? I'm not the most handy one and i just put one in the mav to cover up rusty boards and it didn't fit to bad. If ya know what your doing it could look pretty good

 

what kind of carpet did you get? I was wondering if there is a roll of carpe that you can lay down in a car, heat it with a heat gun to make it fit the contours, and then trim it and be done. Guess I'll pass on the mustang carpet

 

the mustang floor pans are also a little different

 

Its just old house carpet i had laying around. I didn't tuck it under stuff or cut the floor shifter spot out good cause its not going to stay but i'll take some pics so you have idea of what teh curves look like tomorrow. If i find one on the computer tonight i will link a pic on here.

 

I was thinking about just generic carpet form advance auto parts, might still give that a try
