Hey I was wondering if I should buy this Granada spindles rotors and calipers kit in eBay .Heres the thing I have a 69.5 mav and I don't know if the spindles will work because I have the falcon style upper control arms, and also I read that using them on the early suspension causes bump steer problems.any help would be appreciated

I'm assuming you could put later-model upper control arms on your 69.5 (someone will correct me if I'm wrong).
I'd buy them if the price isn't outrageous. It is what the '74-77 models had ('74-'75 optional).

It shouldn't cause bump-steer. Cutting coils for lowering the front can cause some bump-steer.

The ONLY difference in the upper control arms for the 69.5 are the ball joints use four bolts instead of three... That's true of '69 Falcon, Mustang, Torino, Ranchero, Cyclone etc 6cyl or V8 because they all use the same control arm, including big blocks...

I never heard of bump steer issues, though I had some problem with mine using '69 Torino Spindles till I finally got the front end alignment close(it's yet to see a official alignment and every part under it is new or rebuilt)...

    So if they didn't cause bump-steer on a '77, they're not gonna cause bump-steer on a 69.5.

all you need are the spindles and caliper mounting brackets...only get the calipers and rotors if they are useable.
rotors and calipers can be bought new. the money saved on shipping may offset the caliper core charge...
the price may be the same, you will just save on shipping.

Correct, I researched parts and the 1970 three bolt control arm replaces the four bolt all the way back to the '66 Fairlane... Basically, noting the ball joint difference, from the '66 Fairlanes & '67 Mustang control arms are all same through the '80 Granada...

Somewhere because Falcon also used the four bolt arm, someone ASSumed the '69.5 was inferior to the true '70-up parts which is absolutely not the case... Starting '66, Falcon began using beefed up Fairlane suspension & in '67 Mustang got those suspension parts as well...

The pre 1970 do use a slightly smaller spindle size but that too is a non-issue, Grandpa's '69 429 LTD Country Squire Sta wgn used same size spindles and bearings as 69.5 Mav...
