i have checked my cowl for leaks and it has never leaked before until today when I hit it with a pressure washer. So as I was sulking and pouting in the garage, my wife pointed out that there was a bolt and plug right where it was leaking. Sure enough, that's what it was. It's just to the right of center. The pressure washer must of pushed it in some. I thought it was strange that it was dripping right in the middle of the cowl. Anyone know what it is for and how to replace it? I'll include a pic.

I never noticed that until you brought it up.

It is the mounting bolt for windshield wipers. Not sure if it is the motor or arm pivot.

I never noticed it before either. Now I need to figure out the best way to seal it up.

I can try to get better pics. I wonder if they messed up at the factory and then filled the hole? Not sure. I just need to figure out how to seal it.

Is there a bolt in it or is it just an open hole? If a hole, fight your way up there and put one in with some sealer on the threads. If the bolt is there, pull it out and put some sealer on it.

Have fun getting up there. You probably need to pull the blower assembly.

It's just a piece of rubber or silicone. I suppose when I hit it with the pressure washer is when I dislodged it. But with a piece of rod I was able to push it in more. I'll have to try and get up there. Not going to be fun! Lol

Must of been what happened. Whether from the factory or elsewhere.
