break light came on and I looked to find this.

    If the shoes are soaked change them also, and clean out the drum and the backing plate.

    You probably already figured out that you shouldn't drive it until it's fixed. If your not comfortable working on brakes, find somebody who is. If you still have a good pedal, you won't for very long. Once air enters the system you might be able to pump up the pedal and will only be working off front brakes. Emergency brake will still work.

    Not a difficult nor expensive job, if you are comfortable doing your own work.

    Do one side at a time, so you can reassemble the springs and arms and plates all in the correct order, looking at the still-assembled other side for guidance.

    Don't ask me why I mention that...:slap:
