Restoring a 72 Maverick, and the top of the inner fender wells where the fender bolts on are rusted beyond repair.. My question is can you buy that piece or do I half to fab some up.. Don't have a problem with making some, but would rather just buy them if I can..

I do have a parts car but there not worth cutting off.. I can fab them.. I want it to look as factory as possible so the only other question I have is.. What gauge of sheet metal works best..

20 or 18 gauge would be my guess. .my trunk is totally rotted out and I'm using 20 for it i think it will be plenty strong when I'm done
