I realize when someone posts it says where they are from . What if you added a section for area specific members or things are members need . Like you could have ares such as northwest , southwest , middle states and east cost lower and upper . Then if somebody needs parts or help they can post to get help ? Just a thought and maybe from each area could be a moderater to maintain .just a thought
If I had A part for sale and someone had South East as where they lived. I would just ignore the add. Area's are very large. If it was someone close to me I probably would give them the part if they picked it up but we have been through this before. So I am ready for to be flamed.
Location is mandatory for the classifieds so it should be easy to find items in your area. If you need help from local members, you could always post a thread with the location in the title. Once I fix the server performance issues, I plan to install a member map to make it easier to find local members.
My thinking is if there is a question or someone needs a members help then members in that area would help .It may not even be car related
Problem with this is that Maverick/Comet content will be intertwined with non Maverick/Comet content, making Maverick/Comet content difficult to find. For the benefit of all members, Maverick/Comet content needs to be searchable and this can only be effective if the content is properly classified and not scattered in non Maverick/Comet areas. If local help is required, just start a thread with a well defined title in the appropriate section.
