Near as I can tell.. you have installed an "RV/Towing" shift correction kit.. when you were probably looking for partial manual control capability when using the shifter. This c4 transgo kit is a 3 stage(about a 1/4 way down the page).

    http://www.transmissioncenter.net/c4_c6.htm

That next phase kit would be called a a "street/strip.. or.. stage 2" shift kit. Those kits allow you to have full rpm control when manually shifting to hold 1st or 2nd gear until put back in drive to still allow full auto shifting capability. The stage 3 or "race" kits go to full manual control(some with reverse shift patterns) with no automatic shift features whatsoever. Not very streetable though as line pressure goes sky high and they'll start to bump/bang shift you to death trying to quietly putt back and forth from the grocery store.

The issue that you have now is that you would rarely want to "piggyback install" any shift kits because they all get there shift corrections and overall qualities from slightly different areas of the valvebodys hydraulic circuitry. I would call Transgo's tech line to ask if that bigger stage 3 kit is just a continuation of your basic kit but with more features/plugs and larger orifices being used. Holes in the separator-plate can be too big.. have metal plugs installed in the wrong areas.. and line pressures can certainly get too high(wasted power and much harder on parts). Unless the manufacturer guarantees compatibility it's always best to by a new factory separator plate(the steel check balls wear them out over time anyways), reuse all the factory springs and start off from OEM baseline. Used Trans-go a few times myself and ridden in many cars with their kits. I've always preferred Fairbanks(Superior) and have never been disappointed with overall shift quality and line pressures. I have this kit below in my C4 and will reuse it on the freshening. Awesome performance even in full auto and manual shifts are hard and super fast. Tire chirps and rubber scratches everywhere you go even when you're not trying. Gives you an audible superiority complex of sorts. lol

And I would highly recommend upgrading to these .250" check balls due to the prolonged lifespan and faster reaction times. Every little bit helps.

Should fit but AFAIK all pre '67 C4 are dual drive(white dot, green dot) versions...

I thought some more about this and after trying my damndest to fire up some old memory cells all I come up with is that yes they can be interchanged.. but.. the few versions of valvebodies might have a few different bolt hole configurations. This means that you may need to use a throughbolt with a nut to correctly pinch the separator plate against the valvebody to prevent leakage. Basically, something about where the older style valvebody has a bolt in a different spot than the newer cases.

Err hell.. now I'll start second guessing myself and say that it could even be the other way around. Maybe it was that you could use the newer valvebodies on the older pre-70 case fills but you had to add the throughbolt and nut it to seal the separator plates gasket?

Either way, I think my memory might be half right one way or the other because I did something similar many years ago. Just can't remember what was mixed with what. But i'm pretty certian that I ended up with a throughbolt nutted on the backside to seal the separator plates gasket on that corner of the valvebody. I'd call TCI or Performance Automatic to get solid answers.
