Im changing out my 1973 gas tank for a 1976 gas tank and was wondering what parts are able to be reused from the 1973. I know ill need a new sending unit and it appears i have to pay $40 for a vapor valve for the tank. Can I use the filler neck from the 1973 tank on the 1976 tank or will I need a new one? Also does anyone have a guide to doing all of this so im not just going in blind. I know its not that large of a job I just want to make sure I do it correctly.

I could be wrong but I think the filler neck could still be used. I do know the newer models came with the filler neck that has the flap like filler necks do today. But I think yours would still work.
