I have access to a 75 302 Maverick with factory Duraspark distributor, module and wiring. Can the under-hood harness be removed from the 75 and connected to my 72 at the firewall without cutting and splicing and be expected to work?

Nope the pinout is entirely different, don't believe they'd even connect together...

You will need to cut and splice. But get as much of the harness for the module, dizzy and coil collar as possible. I've attached a couple of schematics. Hope this helps.

Thanks guys, got her done. Pulled all the harness from the donor and only had to connect 4 wires to the existing harness. I had forgotten how much points suck.

My '73 was converted to the Duraspark. It works great, but if I had it to do over, I'd go with a Pertronix conversion.

That is what I would have done if I had not had a complete system available already.
