How far will the cluster come out of the dash. Mine barely would pop out, could not see the back of the panel. Only came out an inch or so. I want upgrade the bulbs, too dim at night.

Lift up 1st, to pop-out over the bottom tabs. And, then down to clear the top. Reading from others that have the automatic on the column, they say to remove the selector on the top of the column, to give you more room. Also, did you dis-connect the speedometer cable?

Are you talking about a clip at the floor pan for the speedo cable? I had it up and out but could get it out from the dash.

Theres the speedometer cable and the wiring harness that need to be disconnected first. And I believe the alternator bulb on the bottom left corner. Make sure you remember to plug that back in before setting everything back in place. Its quite depressing realizing the alternator bulb is still unplugged after reconnecting everything.
