Rattling clunk in the rear

Turned out to be left rear shock, completely unattached at top. Nut has been off the bolt for some time, threads are trash....

 

That bolt is replaceable on most shocks.

 

Had this happen to me as well.

 

In this tech article, I had to come up with replacement hardware for mine .... it is as close as Ace Hardware ....

Just buy a new set of shocks for the car. Rear shocks are cheap on these cars. Better ride,cheap fix.
