Who will be bringing tools with them. I can bring whatever if somebody will let me store them in thier enclosed hauler. I know with my luck if I don't bring them something will break on the "BADMAV" and I would hate to see somebody elses time ruined cuz those that could did not lend a helping hand.(y)

Dennis if your bringing a jack I'll bring the stands, Do you normally carry a generator in the trailer? I'll also bring an electric impact wrench if we have a power source. I need to make a few adjustments on the rear and change wheels and tires before racing. I'll also load my truck toolbox with handtools and a couple of power tools.

Seems there are plenty of tools that we all bring. I usually bring a good set of Jackstands as well as a zillion other tools. I pull with a 24 year old vehicle (chebby) and it needs tlc on these trips. Saving and hoping for a much newer Ford puller.

ps some of us post or exchange cell phone numbers prior to leaving. just in case someone breaks down and needs help we might be able to help out. this might be a good year to discuss a rescue team?

Chebby OUCH.:slap: ..I pull with one too but I never would have been the first one to admit it:tsk:

Cell phone number swaps may be a good idea Dan, A lot of us coming out of the Southeast will be traveling I-40 to I-65 up to Owensboro and others straight up 65. Folks leaving Wednesday morning could meet up at the I-40/I-65 junction in Tennessee and convoy up the rest of the way.

Well, I do not have a garage. So every tool that I own is ALWAYS in the big black van. Yes I will have the generator with me as well.

Definitely exchanging phone numbers is a great ideal.
And people meeting up and convoying together.....well not only is that a safe way to travel.....but what about the "COOL" factor? Cruising down/up the interstate in a convoy of mavericks/comets....I must ask, could it get any better than that?
