Isn't this something for the new Maverick SUV ? In the auction they claim it was made over 25 years ago http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=50448&item=7950775417&rd=1
I do believe the auction to be correct. If memory serves me correct they were available thru JC Whitney. Dan
I actually bought some of those over a year ago. The quality is alright, low enough that they could be that old but high enough that they could be new. By no means would they help you win in a car contest but they do look pretty good on a daily/street rod.
These have definitely been around for years. Not only that but the late model Maverick SUV doesn't use the Horns logo in the name.
That is definately some kind of truck, with a wing window, on the box. That's what made me think it was for the newer SUV. The packaging does look kinda 70'ish, so I guess I will withdraw my BS.
I belive he's right. I seem to remember they sold them for several different makes and models. They are kinda a knock off of the Mustang stripes. The picture on the box looks more like a Fiat sedan to me, check out the wheels, look like some kinda import.
They probably just used the same "model" on ALL of the kits, just had the specific kit superimposed, cheaper that way. Such practice was fairly common.
