Don't know if your totally committed to buying that car or not, but I asked my brother in Lebanon, MO if his son wanted to sale his 70 Grabber. If he wants to sale I can forward you his contact info. - Matt

You are not wrong about the scarcity of Mavericks in this neck of the woods. I am guessing you are about an hour and a half from me and I have never seen a Maverick in real life other than mine which is not exactly a shining example :dead:.

I will toss another listing on here on the chance you haven't seen it and the even smaller chance that it is not as bad as it looks :nailbiting:.

    Thanks mavkid,

This guy is a piece of work. This car went on CL late Friday night a couple of weeks ago in Reading KS, no title, bill of sale only. He bought it for $400 the next afternoon. By Tuesday it was back on CL for $1,200 because he "didn't have time" for his project. He's trying to trade it for a 4 wheeler now I believe.

I called MO dmv, bill of sale only won't cut it with them. If a person has a KS friend, I think KS would take the Bill of Sale and issue a new title, but I'm not certain.

Thanks though, I might message you if we come to KC. The Comet in Warrensburg doesn't look too bad, but I don't know if he has a clean title yet either.

    Chris

PS - I stopped by an old "country" junkyard on the way home today and looked at 5 or 6 old Mavericks/Comets for future parts.

My google map search didn't turn up any results for old "country" junkyard . Could you be more specific?

    Hey Mavkidd,

He got talked into putting his name on a list somewhere online and wishes he hadn't. He pretty much works with business cards and word of mouth. I can PM you his number and I will say I didn't price anything, he may be pretty proud of his stuff. The cars are pretty much on the ground, so nothing on the bottom side worth anything and some of it is picked over, but others not. If you were to come up this way, I would gladly go out again, I would like to see if he has any Toyota Tercels, as that is my daily driver and I could use a few parts there as well.

    Thanks 71mavkidd,

I've seen that one for a while, a bit "nicer" and more finished that I'm looking for. Nice car. That's more what I see for a finish product on our project, though we'll certainly have a little more money in it than that.
