I put on a new mechanical fuel pump to fix the carb running out of gas at WOT, but now fuel drips out of the secondary throttle shaft as the car sits. I had to pull the carb to replace the accelerator pump, and noticed fuel wanted to keep running out of the disconnected line.....very slow drip, but at least a half cup or more ran out and was still dripping when I went to re-install the carburetor. Does the new pump have an issue, or is my float set too high? The car runs good otherwise.

you may need to check the tank vent...fuel pump had nothing to do with that leak...

    Hi Stumanchu,
It sounds like the secondary float level is too high. If the new pump is at A higher pressure than the old one, the float will have to be lowered to compensate. When fuel is dripping off the throttle shaft, you should be able to see it dripping from the boosters onto the shaft.
A small amount of pressure in the tank can cause fuel to continue dripping from the open line.

You both make a lot of sense there. I will check both items. BTW, I finally got this thing tuned a bit, and it is much faster than I expected, even with the 2.79 .
