Hey y’all, I got my 71 into a bit of a fender bender, but found an old beat up 72 Grabber that I can get the parts I need from, and make mine a Grabber clone in the process. Hood has been fixed, primed and sealed, and I’m putting it on the car today, but I’m not sure how to affix the scoops to the hood. Before we took the hood in to get it straightened, the scoops were just siliconed on, are there some kind of clips that were used? The little pins on the bottom aren’t threaded.

The scoops themselves had 3 studs I think that went thru the holes then you have 3 metal self cutting type nuts if I remember correctly. It’s been awhile since I looked at mine. I can take a picture in the morning if no one else gets to it first

You can find those weird little nuts at at good electrical supply store. Take the scoop with you and try them at the counter . I did that for my 71 Grabber . Same problem. I don't know the ' technical ' name for them .. but I KNOW they had them when I visited the store. Hope this helps.

AMK has discontinued the correct palnut. An alternate solution is being looked into.
