I have a 1979 Ford New Process 435 tranny and was wondering if later on down the road it would be feasible to try and swap it into the Maverick. It's the one with the granny 1st gear. I think the ratios are 3.16/2.22/1.41/1.0 Just wondering if it would even come close to fitting. No hurry- (y) Thanks ya'll. Preston

Why would you even consider it? Even if it was free, it wouldnt be worth the headache to even try. A standard 3 speed would be the better choice.

Preston, you're drinking entirely too much swamp water.

Bingo Hawko!! I already have the 24 inch lift and 44 inch Boggers on the maverick- Went great with very few modifications to fit the tires. The BAR 50 cal. is mounted on the hood along with a swivel seat and dual 5 million candlepower lights. Only thing I have left to do is mate the 4 speed to the 4 cylinder zoo-zoo motor I have in there and I'm ready to go.:jack: :bs:

:coco: After writing the above response and then reading it to myself, I have indeed decided to limit my swamp water ingestion to a more moderate amount- say 5 gallons a day instead of 7. I'll make up the difference with moonshine. (y) :tsk: Preston

That's what I needed to know ya'll, thanks. I have one in a pickup and made a serious error. I started thinking. :tsk: Thanks again though! Preston
