Is anyone familiar with Bring A Trailer? Also there is a 74 grabber there that is currently at $5000 that seems fairly nice. Any opinions???

I've heard of it. Fairly newer way to buy cars. I'll tell you what I'd tell anyone buying any vehicle without seeing it up close and personal. The old saying Caveat Emptor which means from the Latin, Buyer Beware. Photos can and will hide many things and you cannot necessarily trust what is and isn't said in descriptions. The car may be a great deal or end up being a POS. If it ends up the latter, you have limited if no legal recourse afterward.

I'm not saying not to buy it. I'm saying tread VERY carefully as to personally unseen cars. Talk on the phone, do not text, with the seller and ask many questions. One indicator of a possible scam listing is that the seller will not speak to you under any circumstances, insists on just texting. Ask for pictures about the known weak spots as to rust with Mavericks, fenders & quarters, floorboards, shock towers. Any hesitation or any pushback by the seller, walk away. Also, if it sounds too good to be true, guaranteed it is. If you have intentions of shipping it after you buy it, you're likely looking at upward of $1000 to get it shipped by a professional shipper. If you can find someone you could possibly trust who lives near the current owner to go look at it for you, that would be ideal even if you have to flip him a few bucks to do it. Better spending a bit to save you headaches later and much more money.

Bottom line, short of buying at Barrett-Jackson or Mecum, long distance car buying is a potential minefield. Try not to step on any.
