Is possible the conversion of steering manual to power steering(hydraulic)???

    If it´s possible :

    Is so hard do it???

Where i can find information about it???

    Is too expensive??

My maverick don't have power steering and the manual steering is not good shape. :'( Maybe is not so complicated this change.

    Thank you for your suggestions.

Pd. I hope than you understood my post, because my english is something bad.

mavzac- on top of the steering box there is a nut with a screw in the middle. sometimes, if you loosen the nut and tighten the screw un poquito, it will help fix the bad steering. maybe it is something else. tie rod ends maybe? lift the car. have an amigo hold the steering wheel tight. wiggle the front wheel left and right. if it moves a lot look and see if something else is moving, like the tie rod ends. or maybe an idler arm. i am not saying steering boxes don't go bad. usually it is something else. sometimes.... ( i know this sounds crazy) maverick handle lousy if the tires don't have enough air in them.. good luck and let us know how things are going for you!

Thanx Scott, but i was trying with the screw in the box, but it not corrected the problem, and all the part of the suspension are new, and the tires is good. I open the steering box and the gears are worn thin, so i need obtain replace of these or the steering box complete or i going to begin to find in the yunkyard with the hope of find one in good shape.

thank you for your suggestion, anywhere I goint to review again all these parts.

Sumtimes having loose berrings on the front wheels, enough so that when you jack the front end up and shake the wheels back and forth you can hear em slapping, thats what my problem was when I thought my steering was going bad. Replaced and tightened the berrings and it steered fine... Ya I know that I probly misspelled berrings.
