hey guys i was wondering if u could help me with my exhaust? how do u think it would look if i ran the tail pipe in back of the front tires and do i need mufflers? also what is a good pipe size and how can i make my car sound real real loud. thanx.
You asked, I think it would not look so good. If a budget muffler system is what you have in mind, you can get some universal kits to do it yourself. Keep in mind, mufflers/exhaust aren't just to keep cars quiet, they also keep fumes from coming into the car. IF you dump them at the front wheels you will get lots of noise as well as fumes. For loudness, go with something like Cherry Bomb or Glasspack mufflers. A friend of mine has a 302 with headers, Hooker Aero Chamber mufflers in 2.5 and it is as loud as heck. I have the same setup in 2.25 except mine has an X-pipe installed and it is half as loud. Don't use a crossover and you will get more noise. Run them at least to the axle underneath. Seth
To get the most decibiles, go without mufflers. However, the local law might have a different opinion.
