I was contacted by Tom Comerro, editor of Hemmings Classic Car Magizane. They are working on a Maverick article for a future issue. I was asked if I would be interested in an interview for this article! A dream come true of course! After a telephone interview about my interest in the Maverick, the club, this web site and all my friends I have made through the years, I was told to send some new pictures of me and my 1974 Maverick Grabber the way they wanted the pictures to be. I was accepted and will be in the magazine! Now, I'm not in this alone. If it weren't all of us, "Maverick Following" There would be no article! I do not know whitch issue it will be as they are still gathering information so look for it. If I find out, I will let everyone know. You should see my car in Shorthorns soon and I am writing another article that will be in there later. Im am very greatfull to Hemmings Magazine for doing this article and for allowing me to tell my story. Joe Riggio "Grabberjoe"

That is great Joe! Hemmings magazine was started right here in Quincy IL by Ernie Hemmings and his late father. I last talked to Ernie about 7 years ago as I used to service his car. He and my Dad were the same age and they knew each other since childhood. I used to ride around the building on my bike that the magazine started in when I was a kid, oblivious to what went on inside. I just knew it was car related and they had the old Ford crest on the side of the building. That building is now a beauty shop or something.

I was contacted as well. Thanks to the MCCI and president Shawn Simpson....I believe many of us were contacted. They found the club...contacted Shawn...and it went from there. I know this has happened many times over the years...with magazines contacting the club to find members to do a feature on. Just goes to show......Membership has its priveledges!!
