I have a C4 trans and have a small oil drip coming from the shift selector lever. I was wondering if there is a seal of some sort and can it be fixed from the outside or do I have to pull the pan & valve body. Any help would be great.

    Thanks Mike(y)

Mike; I feel your pain!! I have the same thing, just too busy to pull the pan. It is the seal on the inside, and the valve body has to come down. A small pain, but a pain none the less. Good luck!

I just purchased one recently, but have yet to install it. Cost me all of $2.50. Had to make a trip to one of my buddies who runs a transmission shop though. Local parts houses didn't have it.

tried a little brake fluid? it makes the seals swell a bit, works wonders on small leaks.
