If you are close to the border, stop at a crossing station when they are not real busy and ask them what you need to fill out to bring your Grandfathers car into the US. Cars over 25 years old are exempt from alot of the safety and emissions rules.

Since you are 17, you will need a parent or guardian to do all this for you.

    Good luck!
