All I want for xmas is my bellhousing, my bellhousing, yes my bellhousing...
If I can't find it, what will I do?...
Put everything into another block...another block...another block...(music fades.)

This is pathetic...what is one to do if they own a 1965 Ford and need a new bellhousing? (Since I'm using a block from that date...)

I mean really, how hard can it be to find a simple bellhousing for a 65 Falcon, or 65 Mustang with a 200ci I6?

You know what I should have done from the beginning? Check codes...but how should I have known the blocks changed in such a minute way? I've checked and checked and checked and decoded all the codes...and nothing about stupid changes in the size of the bellhousing or bolt patterns.

I'm desperate...I've searched every junkyard (In Louisiana), salvage yard (In Louisiana), and website that there is to search...HELP PLEASE!

Jeff, I know of a very, very old junk yard in a little town far, far away. They may have what you are looking for. I will be there this weekend and I will look.

Sounds like a good opportunity to switch to 4 speed! (y)

I'll look around for an c4 with a bellhousing on it yet from a 200. I gave a couple away this past winter.

I know where I can get a 4speed if necessary but would much rather have a c4. Im pretty sure its a five bolt. I'll check soon

Thanks for the replies and if you find one jamie, measure the two top center bolts and it should be very close to 5.5" not 4 11/16.

hey all 62 falcons came with a ford-o-matic transmission or a 3 speed toploader.

Jeff.....You need a v-8 bellhousing and torque converter, it has the same pattern as the 289-302. the old 250's were actually a small version of the 300 straight six. they had 200 straight six parts in them. here is a link to help you along the way.
