I never saw this before: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2406682250&category=6777
Those are a pretty popular item on the street rods, most of them that I have seen have been on the early 40's cars like the Ford Deluxe, but you see them mostly on the street rods, not on many on the classic cars..........At least around here
I bought a pair from the same guy ... Paid $25.00 for them ... Found out later that you can get em on the net for half the price ... But if your looking for a unique addition ... No maverick would be complete without a pair of these ... http://www.bullsballs.com/bigchampains.html
They look neat, but think they are illegal to use on street driven cars in PA. A friend of ours had those half-moon covers on his headlights and the cops made him take them off. The cops said that nothing can cover the headlights in this state. Maybe thats why his trying to get rid of them.
During WWII they used to cover the top half of the headlight. Maby you can convince the cop its a 40's model and it's supposed to be that way.
I have a set of them for my 60 fairlane. They are OUTLAW in NC also alone with blue-dot tail lights, but at least here on a nice driver or show they don't say much.
