I could use a front and rear bumper. I have a 73 Comet GT and I like the looks of the smaller bumpers. Is there any difference in the rears? I see the front is smaller on a 72, does 72 fit? Can I find new ones? How much?

    Bumpers....

Comets and Mavericks shared the same rear bumpers in all respective years.
'69-'72 and '71-'72 Comet rear bumper is the same. 1973 used the same rear bumper as previous yrs. but had a bumper mount that made the bumper sit out farther.

1973 was the first year that Comets and Mavericks shared the same bumper.
'71-'72 Comet front bumper fits only the Comets.

Front filler piece is different between the 2 cars in all years due to the difference in the shape of the grill.

When I did my bumper slide on the 73, I only used one bolt per side to attach to the frame. I've never had a problem with using one bolt per side. Originally had 2 per side.

OK, so, you are saying they shared the same bumper? The rear?
'71-'72 Comet front bumper fits only the Comets. Ok, but will the '71-'72 fit the '73? Thanks for the info.

The front will fit although the mounting holes for the brackets probably wont line up. you'll have to fabricate something. The rear will bolt on.
