I could use a front and rear bumper. I have a 73 Comet GT and I like the looks of the smaller bumpers. Is there any difference in the rears? I see the front is smaller on a 72, does 72 fit? Can I find new ones? How much?
from a post I saw some where said that the rears are the same but the fronts are different. I would also like to see an arctical on front bumper slide for the 73's any help?
Bumpers.... Comets and Mavericks shared the same rear bumpers in all respective years. '69-'72 and '71-'72 Comet rear bumper is the same. 1973 used the same rear bumper as previous yrs. but had a bumper mount that made the bumper sit out farther. 1973 was the first year that Comets and Mavericks shared the same bumper. '71-'72 Comet front bumper fits only the Comets. Front filler piece is different between the 2 cars in all years due to the difference in the shape of the grill. Seth
When I did my bumper slide on the 73, I only used one bolt per side to attach to the frame. I've never had a problem with using one bolt per side. Originally had 2 per side.

The front will fit although the mounting holes for the brackets probably wont line up. you'll have to fabricate something. The rear will bolt on.
