Came home from work yesterday. Backed the Mav into the garage as I always do. When I got out of the car I noticed a trail of fluid on the driveway. It was trans fluid. I just had the whole valve body out to replace the seals around the shift selector and new screen and pan gasket. Now it is leaking pretty bad out of the front of the bell housing. Right where the lower cover bolts on. Man it's always something:cry: Wanted to get some opinions on what it is. I am thinking front seal? Any suggestions?

If it is coming out of the bell housing, it just about has to be the pump seal. Good luck!

While we're on the subject, my tranny builder took the stock one out of mine (when putting in the transbrake) and replaced it with a different one - it was gray in color. Supposedly it can hold up to the heat the converter puts out (on race apps). It wasn't very expensive either (not like he was trying to make ton's of money off it).

Any of you tranny guys know anything about this seal? (Brand, material, History, etc?)

    Thanks
