    1971 Grabber Maverick
    Hi!
I found this forum on a general web site. My son owns a 1971 Grabber Maverick. He is unsure whether to restore it & show or sell it. Thought this might be a good way for him to see what else is out there.

:Welcome: well speaking as a 16-year old teen i would tell him to restore it-its alot better than beign a teen and getting a car just handed to you(usually a lil'compact)good luck on whatever you and he decide to do(y)

Restore Restore, value is climbing on those , this is a very extreme example but a Grabber sold for $7000 on Ebay last month... way over priced, but the future is bright for those cars

Welcome to the board.:Welcome: By all means, keep the Grabber and restore it. The value of these cars are climbing every year and they are getting harder to find in good shape.

    molly,
keep the maverick and "sell" the son. you can take the money from the sell, put a quarter with it and buy yourself a "cup" of coffee...j/k :) most of us would go with the "keep" the car option if you have the resorces to build the car. if not , here would be a good place to sell it...frank...:bouncy:

I'd say keep and restore it, agreeing with 71gold about the "have the resources if not sell it" part of it.

As a 17 year old I would tell him to restore it!

I bought my car as a non running car that had been sitting for 9 years and had a locked up front wheel it had sit so long. Now, 6 months later it's up and running as my daily driver and I love it. There is just nothing like a Maverick. Even my buddys that are hard core import guys and can't stand Camaros or Mustangs love the Maverick.

Drop a nice 302 in there and start smoking your import buddies and they won't like Mavericks either! :)
