    Title!!!

I liked your title, seems the good 'ol USA is disappearing a chunk at a time. I live in what I call the Occupied Territories. The southwest, overrun with US NO Border Patrol and 20 other "law enforcement" (what constitition?) groups. Could be People's Republic West I guess. But at least we can still ride around in the back of pick up trucks here. For now.
Welcome, I have a father and two sons team, but we're going to do three cars. Eventually.

Thanks to all for the warm welcome and comments. To answer Don's question, we live in a little town in the Northwest Hills of CT, away from much of the madness of the cities. It is still outrageously expensive to live here, but we will probably never leave since our family has been here for generations.

We run a small hobby farm (beef) primarily for tax reasons, also we collect and restore antique farm and construction equipment.

Tim and I bought the Mav. last winter and have been working on it off and on, gathering parts, etc., and we now are getting close. We used a 302 from an '87 Bronco for the block, crank and rods, bored it .030 using 9:1 hypereutectics and topped it with Edelbrock RPM heads, RPM cam kit, roller rockers and RPM intake. We opted for a TCI Street Fighter C-4, a 3000 stall converter with Richmond 3.55 gears and a mini spool. We converted the front brakes to disc and the rear brakes to the larger diameter drums with 2" wide shoes. Tim is working on the interior and we hope to have the engine bolted in this week. Once I figure out how to post photos here, we will.

We still need a few things such as fan shroud, ignition and seats. Is there a good place to go, or should we post an ad in the classifieds?

    Thanks again,

    Scott
