What engine does the van have in it? C6's are made together as one unit, so you can't just swap the bell housing to make it fit your engine.

C6's are big and extreamly heavy compared to a C4. I would say it's probably not worth the effort... Is something wrong with your C4?

The C-6 does not fit a Maverick, without modification to the floor and firewall. It is also quite unnecessary, as a well built C-4 is plenty strong in most applications (it's also lighter in weight). Unless you have a seriously powerful big-block in your Maverick (or Comet), you don't need a C-6...

well, i had to ask 'cause that was rebuilt,... and free... mine is in need of a rebuild,..every person i ask says it, mines got a grunt noise when you hammer down...not much go,..just the noise.. unless you run it through the gears like a manuel...thats the only way to make her move 1/2way normal....otherwise its REAL REAL slow speeding up.....and out here you need to get up to speed quickly..dont wanna get hit by a coal truck

Sounds like your kickdown is not working properly to me. I'd start there. Bag the c6 idea though. Lots of work for nothing. Sell the C6 to pay for the rebuild on your C4.
