I'M A ROOKIE AND NEED HELP!! I am so excited to find this site most of the time people tease me about the car. The most underated car in the world this site is cool as hell.
to the board! First 2 things is, if you really like the Mav so much. You would really like to join the (MCCI)Maverick Comet Club International. Next for parts, would be to get a catalog from Auto Krafters and also check the for sale threads on here and e-bay. And I think Maverick Connection also. Use the search on here for ald post about what you may need to know. Ask any question you want on here about the Mav. But just try to get it posted under the right topic and we won't have to hurt ya!
welcome to the board. there's another member on the board here from bremerton. also i used to live in bremerton and also port orchard. i moved to az. about 15 years ago. good luck with your maverick. enjoy it.
to the board. Glad to have you here. Pictures, we love pictures. We have 2 or 3 Mini Meets a year, in the Seattle area. Mike lives in Siverdale & has a 4dr Maverick. He also has tons of parts...Scott lives in Tacoma, has a 4dr Maverick. Quite a few MCCI members have parts also...Looking forward to meeting you.
Hey Nick, first thing to do is get yourself Chilton's 1970-1977 Maverick/Comet Repair Manual (the last printing). Next you may want to get a set of shop manuals for your exact model year. After that you can pick general manuals that cover a wide range of topics from engines to body work...you shouldn't need these right away. You can pretty much pick up everything I mentioned on ebay or Amazon.com. Mike P.S. A bunch of us are in the planning stages for a meet in Reno next year. We hope to attract owners from all over the west. Your car doesn't have to be finished to attend.
