I have the 250 six.. and well, Im not willing to put in a 302.. the 250, with a bit of fiddling with the timing and carb settings, and a bit of fancy work with the gas and brakes can smoke tires with the best of em.. plus if you get serious about it, the sixes are capable of pretty monster tourque.. heck, jeep used modified forms of the same ford sixes we have for their wagoneers and grand cherokees.. but if you want mean quickly and more easily, then go for a 302..
a stock 250 makes 81 hp and 192 ft lbs of tourque the 200 makes just a little less. If you want to know how to realy make some hp go too www.fordsix.com its a gr8 site
Thanks for the posts, i am supprised how much i would have to change my car if i was going to put a 302 in it. But i am releaved that i can make my 200 good and fast. I guess boaring it out is always an option too. I cant Tell you how much it is KILLING ME that i cant just drive my mav and how much work it needs!!! AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Atleast i have one though
you can`t over boar it more than .10 ore there is a real good chance that it will crack have you been to fordsix yet there is a place to get porformace parts for thees little sixes and like heer they have parts for sale too
ya, i went to fordsix, but i am a pretty much unfermiliar with all language dealing with cars, so it is kinda difficult to know what i need to do and what the limits are. I am learnig alot though and I am starting to understand what everything means and does. Hopefully i am getting it right.
