Lambo style doors are just a younger generations version of suicide doors. They will play themselves out as they are starting to become overlooked already, even in their own arena. I have installed these hinges on a few cars including a '05 Escalade EXT, which is a real accomplishment since they are welded hinges from the factory. Some kits are a direct bolt on and some are weld on but as with anything there are quality kits and inferior parts = get what you pay for. I think lambo doors on a Mav would be unique but its kind of like having side pipes on your car, they were cool once upon a time.
FYI .... Pimp My Ride did up a 1989 Ford Taurus last night and put the Lamborgini type doors on the front doors. They actually worked very well ...

that's NOT what to do to your car! HIDIOUS! thats what we call Getto! pimp my ride makes the worst cars ever! they don't even touch the motor on these cars so what if oyur car looks like that and it don't run!
