Hey guys. I've looked at several wrecking yards for a used control valve that looks like it wasn't leaking. There are not many to choose from. I guess I'm going to take a shot at rebuilding one. Has anybody here done this? Is there anything I need to watch out for(little check balls, flying springs, etc.)? Who has the best kit for this? Thanks guys. Greg
Many Mustang suppliers have the rebuild kits. They were used on a lot of Ford cars. There is not much to them. They have a double spring loaded piston that the ball screws into and a large slotted plug on the end to get at the internal parts. There is a plug torque requirement to set, thats about all there is besides the lines etc.
