Hey guys. I've looked at several wrecking yards for a used control valve that looks like it wasn't leaking. There are not many to choose from. I guess I'm going to take a shot at rebuilding one. Has anybody here done this? Is there anything I need to watch out for(little check balls, flying springs, etc.)? Who has the best kit for this? Thanks guys.

Many Mustang suppliers have the rebuild kits. They were used on a lot of Ford cars.
There is not much to them. They have a double spring loaded piston that the ball screws into and a large slotted plug on the end to get at the internal parts. There is a plug torque requirement to set, thats about all there is besides the lines etc.
