I am in the middle of switching my power steering to manual. I am going to keep the power gearbox since it takes less steering wheel turns to hit the end. Wha i need is someone to tell me how to change the pitmans arm or control valve to work with the manual setup. I am not exactly sure on how to do it. thanx guys

Are you putting in a whole manual linkage set up? If so you have to use the manual pitman arm and you will need a pitman arm puller. They are a bear to get off. You can buy one or maby even rent one from the local auto parts store. If your just doing the conversion piece that is available, you will need a forked tool used to separate ball joints and tie rod ends. Again, buy or rent it.

I would recommend getting the adapter that they sell at any mustang supply house. Then you remove all the power stuff from your linkage and put this adapter in place of the control valve.

    Hey Zero-

My roommate tells me you'll be coming up either this weekend or three weeks out.
    Looking forward to meeting you.
