I was wondering if you could use the 5.0 mustang engine mounts with the pin style on the 6cyl frame mounts? Visually it looks as if it will work.Just wondering if anybody has tried it?Thanks Derek.

Been looking and measuring,, looking and measuring,,, LOL! Im putting a 88 roller engine in my 69,, I had a block and tranny laying around and no parts to mount the engine to the frame for a mock build up,,,, I did use the 6 cyl frame mounts, bolted them on the back side of the frame towers, they set vertically, then I made a pair of angle iron solid mounts that bolted onto the side of the block,, I drilled a hole in to the anlge iron, where the 6 cyl frame hole was, and put in a 3/4 inch bolt thru the entire mount,,, I was looking at the 88 engine mounts, the 88 frame mounts set level, no angle or slope the the mounts,,, They also look a bit taller than the maverick style mounts,,, Anyways, I tried using the 6 cyl frame mounts, and yeah, they worked for me, but I found a stock style set up, and going with that route,, and adding a chain to one side to help hold the engine down to keep it from twisting under acceleration. Thanks Chad

My biggest concern would be headers.Idon't want to go through alot of work fabbing mounts till i get a set of headers, plus to add fuel to the fire i'm using a t5 trans with a lakewood scatter shield.By the way do you know of any block mounts that interchange with the mav/comet i.e Granada,LTD,Mustang?? Thanks Derek

Napa has the engine mounts, bout 25 each. Then you have to find the frame stands,,, Im using 88 t-bird cast manifolds for my swap,, Not exactly the race set up,, but they will work for what I want to do,,, They dump out the rear, on both sides, and clears the steering box, I thought of using the AOD out of the Thunderbird, but looks like it would be very tight,,,, Your lucky, you have the big tranny tunnel, mine uses the small one, so room is not very spacious in mine,,, But, with a big shoehorn, proabably fit anything in there,,, Chad

AZ, Advance, or O'Reilleys have the engine mounts for about half what NAPA does.
14 bux gets a mount down here.
As for interchange, I don't know of any cars that interchange engine mounts with our cars.
Frame mounts can swap from a few different cars, but it sounds like you have those already.
    Good luck
    Dave
