This past weekend’s Fun Ford Weekend was held at Virginia Motorsports Park just south of Richmond VA; there wasn’t a lot of Comets or Mavericks there at all.
I think I was the only Maverick running Quick Fords, there was a very sharp black Maverick running street and another one running Fast Ford and that was all I saw.
Saturday I couldn’t buy a win and after giving the first race to a Ford truck (ran out with a .512 light verses his .814) I bought back and gave the next to a Mustang.

Sunday was another story, I couldn’t lose, and I put two focuses on the trailer and then three Mustangs and one beautiful Fairlane. I was on fire but so was my motor after two rounds of round robin the temp was now at 200 and the batteries were to whipped to cool and start the car, so for the final run I sat at the staging line while a Mustang made a FREE pass for the first place money. The second place paid $200.00 and I guess that’s better then nothing.
Sorry guys I did the best I could for us!
There was a lot of people talking to me about Mavericks but there just wasn’t any to be found on the track, I thought for sure there would be some in the show area but not a one.
I just had to share my weekend with everyone, take care and get those cars out of the garage!

    Good Job....

...Is that an antique vehicle tag on the front of your
car? I know in VA the communistwealth...uh, I mean commonwealth wants you to have a tag on the front
of your vehicle as well as the rear.

I take it yours sees time on the streets as well?
