Just an F.Y.I. I ran across a solid red w/red interior '71 or '72 Comet in a junk yard in Tomball,TX today. The car is in pretty rough shape. I wasn't able to spend a lot of time looking at it. The hood was in repairable condition. The front bumper and rear bumpers are there (would need to be re-chromed or painted). The interior is shot. Both front and rear seats are there but not what I would call in 'good' condition. No gas cap. Again, I was rushed so I can't really give you anymore information. It has the 4-lug wheels. I do not know if this is a V-8 or not - the hood wouldn't open. For more information, call Charlie`s Auto & Truck Salvage Tomball, Texas 77375 Phone: 281-351-4444
Yep! Going JYin' without a camera is worse then going without tools! Man, sure would like to have the front bumper brackets off that car.
Please forgive me for I have sinned. My apologies. I had no idea I was going to come upon the salvage yard. In an attempt to redeem myself, henceforth, thereto, therefore, heretocome 'n stuff, I vow to take a camera with me wherever I may rome. Ahmen.
Lol It's not specifically because I want a picture of every maverick I see but I keep a cheap digital in the truck all the time. I got tired of rushing to deliver furniture and forgetting to take a picture or two. Comes in handy often, henceforth, forthwith, fortworth, etc.
I gotta get out of the 17th century and get a camera phone. My old "Snickers Bar" cell phone looks like Moses might've received 10 messages from The Man on it, but it works great. I can get reception on mine when my g/f can't on her's (we both use Verizon).
Coming from Cypress, I took Telge to 2920 through Tomball (about 3 miles). "Charlies" Auto and Truck Parts" is on the left about a mile passed the B.J. Hughes campus on the right.
