Well, I began collecting parts late last summer and the conversion is now complete. The Maverick now sports 5-lug front/rear and 4-wheel disc brakes. I also replaced the stock 3 leaf rear springs with 4 leaf from JC Whitney. The shackles were changed to poly. The shocks have been upgraded to KYB Gas-A-just (front) and GR-2's (rear). The front springs are still stock 6-cyl, but those are on the long list of items to change. The wheels are from a 2000 Mustang GT with 245/45-17 tires, replacing the 14 inch white walls. I'll post some pictures tomorrow morning, once I'm on a faster connection.

    Thanks,
    Luke

Cool ... do you have a picture of the stance created using your original coil springs in front and the JC-Whitney 4 leaf springs in the rear? My next project is to correct the droopyazz on my 74 and am planning on using the same springs. Thanks ...

    The photos

Sorry for the wait. The connection was too slow at home. I've attached a before and after pic. DM, I forgot to measure the rear ride height before I tore the car apart. Although, you can tell from the pics the rear did rise some. The ride is soooo much better.

    Enjoy,
    Luke

Looks nice Luke. What kind of spacers are you using on your wheels?

Matt, I purchased the adapters from a place on e-bay. Can't remember the manufacture's name off the top of my head. I do know they are 1.5" thick. The Mustang wheels had ~5.5" of backspacing, therefore, put me at 4" of total backspacing with the spacers. I'll let you know after I look at my paper work.

Nice ... looks like it lifted pretty high in the rear ... you can pretty much see the entire 17" tire in the back ....
