    thanx

the spare tranny would be from a 250. so i guess i will just use it as a back up. the tranny that blew isnt the tranny i rebuilt. that is in my 4 door and im almost done with that car for now. when i get the engine in im going to run it on the 1/4 mile and see how it does out of curiosity. after that im putting in the 9" rear end and it will be my first finished project. as far as the other three mavs go. who knows when they will be done. thankyou for you help guys-james

If you have a 289 built in 65 or older it wont fit either .

some of the 250 I-6 C4s are identical internally to the 302's. I have a few of them...all are 5 disc forward clutches (from the factory) Just a thought FWIW
